Grant Duncan
Long before picking up a camera professionally, I spent 15 years directing operations across corporate translation, telecommunications, and local government. I bring that exact level of rigor and strategic planning to every visual production. You can trust that you are working with a partner who speaks your language and understands the stakes.
My approach to photography and videography is simple: the best results come through when technical mastery meets strategy and creativity. My role in any project is to take complete ownership, execute the same approach and deliver results.
Working in Kenya is a privilege, but capturing its unpredictable rhythm requires anticipation and adaptability. The moment is live and I get one take to document it. To guarantee absolute reliability, I have built ShutterBoxx's operating model on strict project redundancy and quality equipment. This ensures that the moment is captured flawlessly, without exception.
Scotland is where I started, but my roots are planted deeply in Kenyan soil. Alongside my wife, who comes from Kakamega, and our two daughters, Nairobi is where we live and are building our future. That sense of home grounds my work, and reminds me that every production is ultimately about real people and their stories.

Where do the shoots take place?
A.We operate both in-studio and on location. We will work with the setting that best suits the creative direction and project requirements.
How does the booking and quotation process work?
A.We start with a brief consultation to understand your goals. From there, we provide a customised proposal outlining the logistics, deliverables, and investment required for your project.
How do I secure a date, and what are your payment terms?
A.Following an agreed proposal, the date is only secured upon payment of a 50% deposit. The specific payment schedule will be detailed within that document.
What are the turnaround times for final deliverables?
A.Turnaround times will be estimated based on the scope, and deliverables of the project. We will establish delivery dates during our initial consultation based on your requirements.
Do you provide the RAW unedited files?
A.We do not deliver RAW or unedited files. Part of our standard for quality control is ensuring every file delivered to you is fully finished and optimised for your specific needs.
